Recently I've been expelled due to charges of academic dishonesty, and there were a lot of factors making me depressed and making me feel I had to cheat. In doing so i come to the conclusion that I don't want to do my honours biochemistry course anymore. I realize that a purely academic career will kill me. I have lost all interest in my courses and just want it all to be over. I could do it if I really wanted to or even continue to try and do it through different avenues, but I really don't want to. I don't know exactly what I want to do now, but I have always been interested in cooking even before I thought of being a scientist, as well as other trades I thought of, ones which are both mental and physical. If I decide to go to college for a more practical course like culinary at George Brown, or plumbing with some apprenticship, or some kind of computer course or something else, will I have problems applying to these courses? I'm assuming that since the course i was in was completely different and is purely academic, a more practical course with more hands-on stuff wouldn't care about it since I've oviously decided to change my career path.
